Personality
Remus isn't a very 'cheery' person. He's constantly beating himself down, secluding himself, and in general not being a social sort of person. He has a pessimistic outlook for himself, but oddly enough he can be inspiring towards those around him. He's an optimist when it comes to everyone except for himself, which one can find a bit odd when they meet him.
He's a very intelligent person, one of the best in his class, and was part of a group of mischief makers called the Marauders. He would help his friends out sometimes and invented loads of spells in the process. He does have a sense of humor, though one doesn't expect it from the little 'angel'. Normally he would get out of detention by claiming he didn't do it, and the professors usually believed him because of his 'angel' like demeanor.
If there's one thing that perks Remus right up its chocolate. He loves the stuff. Eats it constantly, constantly has some on him, and hands it out to people if they're feeling down. Or if a dementor attacks, but why would he need to worry about that? Either way, a generous soul, he might not have much, but if you need something and he has it? He'll likely give it to you, unless you're some sort of bigot or cruel sort of person.

History
Remus was born to Lyall Lupin, a wizard, and Hope Howell, a witch. His life was relatively normal for several years. At the age of three, his mother walked in on him floating to a top shelf where she hid chocolate from him and nearly had a heart attack at the boy's first show of magic. His dad was ecstatic.
However, when he was five years old, his happy little life would change forever when his father insulted a werewolf, who took revenge and bit poor Remus in revenge. From then on he was a werewolf, and each month he would go through a painful transformation. Due to the fact that werewolves like to hunt and he was normally locked up so he didn't hurt anyone, he ended up hurting himself quite often, leading to him having scars along his body. Every time someone would start to suspect something was wrong with 'that Lupin boy', his parents would move. Thus, he never got to have friends. Even when it was not the moon, he rarely was able to leave the house anyways. Some suspected his parents were abusing him, but that was because they didn't know what he was.
Remus loved his mother more than anything else, and in his third year at Hogwarts, she died. He was devastated. Just the prior year, his friends found out what he was and didn't leave him - he was starting to feel like he could be normal. But his mother died and it left him feeling alone despite being surrounded by those who cared for him. In the end, everyone would leave him, that's what he would tell himself.
In his fifth year, he was witness to a certain falling out of a Slytherin and Gryffindor, which was started by one of his friends. Said Slytherin called that Gryffindor a slur based on her blood and well, friendships don't tend to recover after that. Turned out good for his friend, as two years later he would start dating said Gryffindor.
In his sixth year, he was betrayed by someone he was crushing on majorly, a friend and fellow Marauder, Sirius Black. Sirius had invited aforementioned Slytherin to the Shrieking Shack during the full moon. Problem was, Sirius knew that Remus transformed in the Shrieking Shack. Sirius thought it was a harmless prank, but Remus nearly killed the Slytherin boy, and his secret was revealed to the boy as well - luckily James saved the Slytherin from Remus and the boy was sworn to secrecy to not tell Remus's secret by the headmaster.
His 17th birthday occurred just before the end of his sixth year, as there weren't any super important exams that year, when he 'returned' he was put into his 7th year at Hogwarts. Turns out he appeared in 2022, 45 years after his 17th birthday. And somehow he had a son and a wife? He's quite confused honestly and doesn't really want to learn more, but there is a tiny little niggling feeling that makes him also want to learn more. He's conflicted.
